As An Author-Illustrator, SCBWI provides a Global Community

Dear Future Author-Illustrators,

I highly recommend SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) to any serious kidlit creator. Why? Because the wisdom that is passed along in the pieces of training - both global and regional—provides much insight.

This is because the kidlit community is a community of sharers and fellow creatives who love to uplift, empower, and pass wisdom along to the next generation of authors and illustrators.

I’ve been a part of SCBWI since I started my kidlt journey a few years ago, and the wisdom shared here has catapulted my career. This is because the wide-ranging speakers and topics that flow through the SCBWI community provide an insider’s view of the experiences of many established authors and illustrators.
